Public Safety Committee
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each Month at 7:00 p.m.

The Public Safety Committee shall be charged with the responsibility of supervising, in conjunction with the Mayor, the Police Department of said City and the operation thereof. Said Committee shall also, where there has been misconduct on the part of any policeman, see that the appropriated charges are filed and prosecuted before the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The Public Safety Committee shall also have general supervision over the Fire Department of said City and all improvements and machinery belonging to thereto. It shall from time to time report its activities to the Council and make recommendations as to repairs, improvements and purchases of equipment to be made by it.
